Types of Meetings
Informational Meetings
The purpose of these meetings is to announce any upcoming fundraising efforts, social events, dates to work on the semester project, debrief the previous guest speaker, listen to SUPO officer suggestions, and voice opinions on upcoming events. Many announcements will be made during these meetings including info about the upcoming speakers. Currently, informational meetings are scheduled on the first Monday at 5:15 PM in ELA 344 of every month. There will only be ONE informational meeting per month. A monthly calendar will be posted on the bulletin board at the beginning of each month and updated frequently. Due to a legitimate conflict, requirements for involvement can be altered upon discussion with the SUPO President.
Guest Lecture Meetings
During these times, guest lecturers will attend the meeting to present about various planning efforts, community involvement, current projects and works, workshops, and internship opportunities. It is suggested that every member attend ALL guest lecture meetings throughout the semester. These meetings will be subject to change due to the work schedules of our numerous speakers. These meeting times will typically alternate between Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The official times for these meetings will be announced at the monthly informational meeting. There will typically be no less than TWO guest lecture meetings per month.
